Slow Flow Yoga A space for everybody, from all walks of life and ages. Breathwork is intelligently woven into the flow, enhancing your energy and grounding you into your body. Transitions between poses are slow and mindful, giving you time and space to feel deeply, release tension and quiet the mind. Your teacher: Jess MacMillan "As a busy mother of 3, I came to yoga exhausted, disconnected, looking for some time to myself and increased strength and flexibility in my physical body - and because I thought I’d be good at it. You’ve got to love the Ego!! What started as a purely physical pursuit soon grew into a regular practice that not only nurtured my body but, more importantly, created space and quiet in my mind. After a long history of anxiety and depression, this change was much needed. I started to feel calmer and more present. I became more patient and engaged with the people in my life, especially my children. Yoga helped me find myself. By turning inward, I learned to value myself and rebuild my self-esteem. It put me on a road to healing from my past and helped me rewrite my personal narrative. I started to put myself first, I set boundaries around what I needed and became the mother, partner and friend I always knew I wanted to be. Using Hatha Yoga (Mentor Program TYC 2016), Kundalini Yoga (Teacher Training with Soreya James 2024), my background in Human Nutrition (BCApSc Otago 2001) and extensive personal experience and learning in the mental health space, my classes offer a holistic path to better health. I aim to help my students achieve balance between their physical and mental well-being, learn to manage stress, cultivate their inner awareness, and walk alongside them as they journey to discover their true selves."
